Externship Parameters
- The student will work nine hours per week (135 hours total) at an off-campus, approved business appropriate to their education concentration.
- An on-site supervisor provided by the extern company will submit weekly evaluations of the student’s on-the-job performance to the NCAD placement representative, who records attendance.
- The evaluation form is then given to the faculty supervisor monitoring the externship.
- The supervisor monitors the intern’s progress and meets with them throughout the semester to advise, evaluate, and assist.
