Northwest College of Art & Design is an independent, degree-granting college that is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Accreditation is a private, voluntary, non-governmental, peer-review process which provides a means of assisting schools and colleges to become stronger and better institutions by setting standards of educational quality. To learn more about ACCSC, please visit their web site at http://www.accsc.org/.

NCAD’s academic programs of study are approved by the Washington Student Achievement Council/State Approving Agency (WASAC/SAA) for the enrollment of those eligible to receive benefits under Title 38 and Title 10 of the U.S. Code.

In accordance with the Degree-Granting Institutions Act (WAC 250-61-060), institutions that meet certain criteria are eligible for exemption from degree authorization. NCAD is considered to be an eligible institution exempted from degree authorization requirements by the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC).
